The family’s commercial roofing business, was launched in 2017.

“We wanted to grow to where we could stabilize in a down year when there’s no major storm, so we started commercial roofing,” says Adam McCoy. “The commercial side grew much bigger and better than we anticipated. It’s really a market we can play in.”

No project is too small or too large on both the commercial and residential side. The same level of care and detail is given to each project, no matter its size or type. Some of the projects they’ve completed include:

Because commercial projects tend to be bigger, McCoy does more individual projects that approach or exceed $1 million dollars in that category. More large-scale commercial projects are targeted by us as it enters the cold storage roofing segment.

But whatever the need – home or business, apartment building or warehouse, old or new structure, asphalt or laminate style shingles – McCoy can handle them all.

There’s not a roofing project we can’t do at this point – regardless of size, material, configuration or location, Adam says. We’re capable of doing anything in our industry. We have the knowledge, experience, resources and skills.

Being a Carlisle-certified installer is a really big deal. They back every square foot of their roofing material that’s installed anywhere in the world, Adam says. That means they have to trust us to know what we’re doing because that roof is a financial liability to them for many years to come.

He said Carlisle’s certification process is demanding.

“They do a thorough vetting of your financials and background checks. They require you be bonded and they make sure you know roofing materials and best installation practices,” Adam says.

For the McCoys, it was just another professional challenge.

For most roofing companies. it takes five to 10 years before Carlisle certifies them – we got certified in the same year we applied.
